Look at the Top MLB Series to Bet This Weekend
Major League Baseball moves ahead to the weekend of play. It’s the final weekend of July, which means, just two months of regular season play to go. There are some great games this weekend, but we have one in mind that we want to see you make some money and bet on. Let’s take a Look at the Top Major League Baseball Series to Bet This Weekend.
Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee Brewers
The top two teams in the National League Central will get together at Miller Park. The Milwaukee Brewers have been the leader in the division nearly all season, but the Chicago Cubs have surged since after the break and taken over first place. The defending World Series Champion have lost just twice in the second half of the season. The Cubs are coming off their four game series against the White Sox in Chicago.
Friday: Jose Quintana vs. Brent Suter
Quintana has won both his starts since coming over from the White Sox to the Cubs. Quintana is 2-0, with a 2.08 so far. He struck out 12 in his first start, and then beat the Cardinals last Sunday. Suter is 1-1 on the season, with 38 innings thrown. During that time, he has struck out 32 batters, and walked just 10. Look for the Cubs offense, which has heated up as of late to take care of Suter in this game, and come away with a relative easy win in front of a large Chicago crowd in Milwaukee.
Saturday: Kyle Hendricks vs. Junior Guerra
Kyle Hendricks was brilliant for the Chicago Cubs a season ago. This season, he has been injured, but is back, and ready to dominate the second half of the season. He is 4-3 on the season with a 3.95 ERA. He has thrown just 66 innings this season, and has a WHIP of 1.24. He will face Junior Guerra, who is 1-4 on the season, with a 5.22 earned run average. Guerra has struggled through most of the season. Look for both pitchers to struggle in this game. In the end, the Brewers even up the series with a big win on Saturday.
Sunday: John Lackey vs. Zach Davies
John Lackey is 7-9 on the season with a 4.97 earned run average. In 108.2 innings thrown, he has struck out 92 and walked 34. Lackey is coming off an outing against the White Sox, where he hit 4 batters. Lackey has not had a great season, and there has been talk of the Cubs replacing him in the rotation. For the Brewers, Zach Davies has been their best pitcher. He is 12-4 on the season. Look for Davies to keep the Cubs offense grounded in this game, and Milwaukee come up with a huge Sunday win, and win the series to keep things in the National League Central tight as August approaches.
There is a look at the three games in our Major League Baseball Series to bet on. We love the rivalry series in the National League Central, and feel the games will be great, with a ton on the line. Best of luck with all your Major League Baseball betting. In the end, we are betting Milwaukee to win two out of three at home over the Chicago Cubs.
