MLB Championship Series Betting Picks, Odds, Tips and Predictions
The Major League Baseball season is down to it’s Final Four. After a thrilling National League and American League Divisional Series, we move one step close to the World Series. The New York Yankees, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs are remaining. These four represent the largest four cities in the United States. Should make for an interesting and fun week of baseball, and the TV rating will love it. Let’s take a look at MLB Championship Series Betting Picks, Odds, Tips and Predictions:
The American League sees the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees. The Astros ran away with the American League West, and actually finished just a game below Cleveland for the top spot in the AL. Houston made quick and easy work of the Boston Red Sox in the American League Divisional Series. Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander will both get two starts, and it’s likely we will see Brad Peacock start twice as well. The big story with the Astros is their offense. Jose Altuve smacked three homeruns in a game against the Red Sox, and guys like Carlos Correa, George Springer and Marwin Gonzalez emerged to make the Astros the top scoring team in all of baseball. Houston is listed at 9/4 to win the 2017 World Series.
The New York Yankees saw Didi Gregorius blast a pair of homeruns off Corey Kluber in the deciding Game 5. Aaron Judge was the big name for the Yankees offense during the regular season, but he struggled during the postseason. New York has a great mix of young players, along with veterans that contribute. Masahiro Tanaka will throw in Game 1 for the Yankees. The Yankees are 14/5 to win the World Series in 2017.
In the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the home field advantage, as they were the best team all season long. The Dodgers saw Cody Bellinger crush 39 homeruns, and will win the Rookie of the Year. Dave Roberts will have a tough time getting his Los Angeles team over the hump after several seasons of falling in the NLCS. The Dodgers are going to go with staff ace Clayton Kershaw in Game 1. Kershaw does not have the best numbers in the postseason throughout his career. Los Angeles is the favorite to win the World Series at 2/1 odds.
The Chicago Cubs are the defending World Series Champions. A season ago, the Cubs were the best team in Major League Baseball. This season, the Cubs have found some pretty good luck, including a complete meltdown in Game 5 against the Nationals. The Cubs have several bats in their lineup, including Kris Bryant who won the Most Valuable Player a season ago. Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell both had key hits in the series against Washington. The Cubs will likely be forced to throw John Lackey in Game 1, as most of the starters were used this series by Joe Maddon. The Chicago Cubs are the underdogs to win the World Series, listed at 7/1.
It should be an awesome week of baseball. When we are making our picks, we are going with BOTH underdogs. The New York Yankees and the Chicago Cubs are the picks we make to get to the 2017 World Series. Best of luck with all your Major League Baseball betting!
