Atlanta Hawks News and Betting Tips for Wednesday, March 30, 2011

The Atlanta Hawks are five games behind the Magic, and appear to be settling in for the fifth seed. The Hawks won 52 games last season, but will not reach that this year. The Hawks have won two straight games; including a 16 point win Sunday in Cleveland. Joe Johnson is the leading scorer for Atlanta, but may miss this game with a nagging injury. The Hawks have seen Johnson score 18.5 points per game, while fellow All Star forward Al Horford is grabbing nearly 10 rebounds per game. Atlanta holds the 8th best defensive average, allowing 95.4 points per game.

Orlando Magic News and Betting Tips for Wednesday, March 30, 2011

The Orlando Magic feel they have a MVP candidate on their team as well. While all the experts have talked about Derrick Rose being the man in Chicago, the Magic want Dwight Howard to be in consideration as well. Howard is scoring 23.2 points per game, and also ripping down 14.2 rebounds per game. Orlando had their five game losing streak snapped on Sunday when the Knicks beat them at Madison Square Garden. Orlando is the 6th best rebounding team in the league; grabbing 43.4 per game, and also the fifth best defensive team, giving up just over 94 points per game. Orlando won 59 games the past two seasons, so this year will be a bit of a down year, during the regular season.
