Bulls vs. Heat Betting Overview

The Chicago Bulls may have been the most consistent team in the league this year. They have been tightening down the screws on defense and also putting up points on the offensive end. They demonstrated both facets in Games 1 with an impressive 103-82 win over the Miami Heat.

The Bulls have not lost to the Heat this year and with the 34 point blowout they looked as impressive as ever. Derrick Rose led the team with three 3-points and 28 points and Luol Deng add four more from beyond the arc. Defense was able to keep LeBron James and Dwayne Wade off their game for the most part. Joakim Noah was ice-cold in Game 1, making just 4 of 14 shots from the field to finish with nine points.

Chris Bosh enjoyed his best game of the postseason, hitting 12 of 18 attempts and making all six of his free throws. He averaged just 12.8 points against Boston. He was not stopped in this game as he came away with 30 points and was the go-to-guy for Miami. The other two big guns, James and Wade, shot 12 for 32 and struggled to get the shots the normally look for to seal the deal. The Bulls pulled away in the third and fourth quarters to make it a laugher at the end.

Our Heat vs. Bulls Pick and Predictions

Don’t count on the Bulls embarrassing the Heat any time soon. Miami will come out with guns blazing at the United Center in Chicago. The Bulls have good enough defense to keep the Heat at bay but aren’t likely to duplicate anything close to Game 1. James and Wade are too good to keep down. The Heat will need to limit the turnovers or they go home with a 2-0 deficit. Some of the things to consider when we are making our bet is the home team is 6-2-1 against the spread in the last nine meetings and the Heat are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Chicago along with Miami being 0-3-1 ATS in the last four meetings. Our pick for this game is Chicago -2 to cover the spread. The Bulls go up 2 games to none.

Our Pick: Chicago -2
