The Tar Heels were then pounded by Duke in the ACC tournament title game. In the NCAA tournament, North Carolina has come away with wins over Long Island, Washington and Marquette. Overall, the Tar Heels have won 17 of their last 19 games, with the only two losses coming to the defending champion Duke Blue Devils. The Tar Heels were the best rebounding team in the nation during the regular season. North Carolina grabbed 42.5 boards per game. Harrison Barnes and Tyler Zeller have provided most of the offensive entertainment for Tar Heel fans on the season.

The Kentucky Wildcats are just one win away from their 14th trip to the Final Four. The Wildcats have won the national title seven times, but never since the 1998 season. Kentucky finished second in the SEC regular season race, behind the Florida Gators. In the SEC tournament, Kentucky was able to rattle off wins over Mississippi, Alabama and Florida to win it. Overall, the Wildcats have won nine straight games. Freshmen Brandon Knight and Terrance Jones continue to pace the way for the Wildcats. The two combine for 34 points per game, and over 10 rebounds. Knight hit the game winning shot with just seconds remaining on Friday. In the NCAA tournament, after barely escaping Princeton, Kentucky beat West Virginia, and then upset Ohio State.

We cannot wait for this game. Alot of tradition for these two teams. You know they will be hungry for this one, to get to Houston. The Tar Heels have a little more experience, but tourmament experience is pretty even. North Carolina’s bigs inside have been pretty solid all season; but Kentucky guards the post pretty well. Kentucky is listed at -1, but we are going to go against that and pick the North Carolina Tar Heels. We feel North Carolina will speed the pace up more than Kentucky wants, and wins the game. We are taking the North Carolina Tar Heels +1 over Kentucky on Sunday.
