New York Giants News and Betting Tips for Sunday, January 01, 2012
The New York Giants are hoping to not repeat the ending to the 2010 season. The Giants lost to the Eagles, and were eliminated from postseason contention a season ago. This year, the win over the Jets set up the title game on Sunday. New York has had a terrible time running the football, as they are the worst in all of the National Football League. El Manning, the New York quarterback has put together a great season, with over 4,500 yards. Victor Cruz has put together a great season as well for the Giants. Cruz leads the team with 8 touchdowns.

The Dallas Cowboys hope that Tony Romo’s hand is healthy for the NFC East title game. Romo hurt in last week, and sat for most of the game. Dallas is without their top running back DeMarco Murray, who finished with slightly less than 900 yards. Dez Bryant has become a force as a wide receiver; leading the team with 9 touchdowns. The Cowboys rank as the 8th best passing team with over 260 yards per game. The Cowboys look for running back Felix Jones to be healthy. He was listed probable with a hamstring injury at the start of the week.
Our Cowboys vs. Giants Pick and Predictions
In the final regular season game of the season, we feel this game will not even be close. The Cowboys have the tendency to not play well in the biggest games. Dallas has not been very good in front of national television audiences. All of the football world will be watching this game on New Year’s Night. There is a ton on the line, and possibly the status of both head coaches; Jason Garrett and Tom Coughlin. While many feel Garrett will keep his job, many wonder about Coughlin. The home field advantage will play a huge part in this, along with Dallas turning the ball over too many times. We feel the Giants are going to win this game by double figures. Our bet is the New York Giants -3 over the Dallas Cowboys.
