Super Bowl 52 has arrived, and the big game will be played in Minneapolis, the home of the Minnesota Vikings. The game features the New England Patriots out of the AFC and the Philadelphia Eagles out of the NFC. Both teams were the top seed in their conference coming into the postseason. The New England Patriots are seeking back to back Super Bowl titles, and their quarterback Tom Brady is looking for his 6th Super Bowl title in his career. The New England Patriots come into this game as the favorite in this game. The Patriots are- 5 over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 52 on Sunday.
Patriots Seeking Back to Back Titles
The New England Patriots really are the same old story as previous seasons. While some of the names may change, the big difference makers do not. Tom Brady is still the signal caller, and Bill Belichick is the best head coach in all of the league. The Patriots scored nearly 30 points per game in their first two postseason games. The Patriots biggest question mark coming into Super Bowl 52 is the availability of their their tight end Rob Gronkowski. He suffered a concussion in the win over the Jaguars, and is questionable.
Brandin Cooks is an elite receiver for the Patriots, but Danny Amendola was the man in the win. The receiver caught two touchdowns in the win. The Patriots run game has seen guys in and out of the lineup, with Dion Lewis leading the way. The Patriots were the second best passing team in the league with nearly 280 yards per game.
Eagles Love Being Underdog
Doug Pedersen, the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles turned to quarterback Nick Foles after Carson Wentz tore his ACL in the win over the Rams. The Eagles quarterback was up and down in his final three regular season games, and two postseason games. The first game after the injury to Wentz, Philadelphia scored 34.. Then – in the win over the Falcons – the offense scored just 15 points. The Eagles finished third in the league scoring just shy of 29 points per game.
Zach Ertz is a monster target for the Eagles, especially in the red zone. The Eagles scored more touchdown passes by tight ends than any team in the league. The Eagles brought Jay Ajayi over from the Dolphins during the season and he joined with LeGarrette Blount. Blount is a former Patriots running back, so it seems he may have a ton of momentum for this game. The Eagles finished third in the NFL with 132 yards per game on the ground.
