The 2020 Masters Tournament has a new date, but it will once again take place at historic Augusta National in Georgia. The field is once again loaded with all of the top golfers in the world, and everyone is chasing the iconic green jacket.
The Masters Tournament is widely regarded as the top major golf tournament, and it requires precision and accuracy to come away with the famous green jacket as the winner. There are five clear favorites entering the 2020 tournament, but anything can happen at Augusta National.
- Bryson DeChambeau +800
- Dustin Johnson +900
- Jon Rahm +1000
- Justin Thomas +1100
- Rory McIlroy +1200
Bryson DeChambeau enters the 2020 Masters as the betting favorite, and he has been the best player in the world since the restart. DeChambeau has added weight and muscle to his frame, and he will look to outdrive the golf course this weekend.
Dustin Johnson is the number one ranked player in the world, and he has finished inside of the top-10 in each of his last four starts at Augusta National. Johnson finished just one stroke behind Tiger Woods in 2019, and he will look to carry that momentum into his 2020 tournament.
Jon Rahm is making just his fourth career start at the Masters Tournament, but he has performed well in each of his last two outings. Rahm finished in fourth place in 2018 and then was tied for ninth in 2019. He is the number two ranked player in the world and is one of the most underrated golfers in the field.
Justin Thomas has been extremely successful since turning pro in 2013, racking up 13 career victories. His recent starts at August National have not gone as well, and he will be looking to turn things around this weekend.
Rory McIlroy is one of the most accomplished golfers on the tour but has yet to slip on the elusive green jacket. A win at Augusta National would complete the career grand slam for McIlroy, but he has yet to finish higher than fourth. Playing this tournament without a large gallery of fans could be what McIlroy needs to earn his first victory.

Darkhorse: Tony Finau +2800
Tony Finau is remembered for dislocating his ankle while celebrating a hole-in-one at Augusta during the Par 3 contest in 2018. What most people don’t remember is how well he played in the actual tournament.
This is Finau’s third start at the Masters, and he has performed exceptionally well in his other two starts. Finau finished tied for 10th in 2018 and finished in fifth place in 2019.
Finau might not have as many wins as some of the other top players in this field, but he has been incredibly consistent. If you are looking for a darkhorse pick to win the Masters, Finau at +2800 is a solid play.
Underdog: Tiger Woods +3300
It doesn’t seem right that Tiger Woods is an underdog to win the 2020 Masters, but at +3300, that is exactly what he is. His recent play has impacted these odds, but it’s never wise to count out Tiger Woods at Augusta National.
Woods is the reigning Masters champion and provided one of the best sports stories of the year with his victory in 2019. It appeared that Woods was on his way to regaining his form, but he has struggled mightily during the 2020 calendar year.
Tiger has won the Masters five times during his legendary career, and he knows his way around the golf course. If Woods is in the hunt on Sunday at Augusta, you can expect some of the other top players to be feeling the heat.
