Eastern Conference Preview

The Milwaukee Bucks will have a homecourt advantage over the Atlanta Hawks in the East, and that series is set to begin this week. Milwaukee is the number three seed in the East, and Atlanta is the number five seed.

The Bucks were one of the highest-scoring teams in the NBA this season, and Atlanta was one of the top defensive teams. The team that is able to dictate the style of play in this matchup will be the one that is able to advance.

Milwaukee is led by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, and those two players do nearly all of the scoring for the Bucks. The Hawks don’t really have anyone to match up with Antetokounmpo, and that could be a big issue.

Trae Young has been carrying the Hawks on this playoff run, and he is making a name for himself. Young is capable of scoring 30 points any time he takes the floor, but he also sets up his teammates well.

The Bucks have plenty of playoff experience on their roster, and that should play a role in this series as well. Atlanta has been able to pull off a pair of upsets, but they haven’t come against two great teams.

Milwaukee has more weapons, and they also have the best player in this series. Bet on the Milwaukee Bucks to defeat the Atlanta Hawks in five games.

Western Conference Preview

The Western Conference Finals have already begun, and it was the Phoenix Suns that took care of business at home in Game 1. Phoenix secured a 120-114 victory in the series opener in a game that was extremely tight throughout.

Both the Suns and the LA Clippers come into this series without one of their biggest stars, and that will have an impact on this matchup. Chris Paul is out of the lineup for the Suns, and Kawhi Leonard is missing for the Clippers.

Paul is currently in the league’s health and safety protocol, and it’s unclear when he will return. Leonard is out of the lineup with a knee injury, and it seems likely that he will miss the entire series.

Devin Booker scored 40 points in Game 1 to lead the Suns to a win, and he has emerged as a star during this playoff run. Booker is not afraid to take big shots, and he now has the ball in his hands much more with Paul out.

Paul George has been doing it all for the Clippers since the Leonard injury, and he did his best in the series opener. George poured in 34 points in the loss, but it just wasn’t enough to push his team over the edge.

Phoenix was the third-best defensive team in the NBA this season, and that defense should be able to slow down the Clippers. The Suns are also the much deeper team, and that will play a role as the series moves along.

This should be a competitive series, but the Suns are simply the better team. Take the Phoenix Suns over the LA Clippers in six games.
