College Football Championship Weekend Betting Picks

College Football Championship Weekend Betting Picks

It’s conference championship weekend in the sport of college football, and this is one of the most important weekends of the year. There are a number of big-name schools on the schedule this weekend, including each of the five conference title games in the Power 5 Conferences.

Here is a look at each of these five games, with a quick betting preview and pick for each matchup.

ACC: Clemson Tigers (-10.5) vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game will feature a rematch between Clemson and Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish won the first matchup of the season in overtime, but Clemson was without quarterback Trevor Lawrence in that game.

Lawrence has thrown for over 2,400 yards this season, and Clemson wants to put points on the board. Notre Dame will counter with a strong defense and running back Kyren Williams, who has racked up more than 1,000 rushing yards.

Notre Dame might have won the first matchup, but it isn’t going to be able to keep up in this game. Bet the Clemson Tigers -10.5 over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the ACC Championship Game.

Big 12: Oklahoma Sooners (-5.5) vs. Iowa State Cyclones

The Big 12 Championship Game might be the best matchup of the weekend as it features the Oklahoma Sooners taking on the Iowa State Cyclones. Iowa State won the first matchup of the year, and the Sooners will be looking for revenge.

Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler has thrown for 2,512 yards, and the Sooners will look to score through the air. Iowa State will counter with running back Breece Hall and his 1,357 rushing yards.

This game will turn into a shootout, and that favors the Oklahoma Sooners. Take Oklahoma -5.5 over Iowa State in this game.

Big Ten: Northwestern Wildcats vs. Ohio State Buckeyes (-20.5)

In the Big Ten Championship Game, it will be the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes as huge favorites over the 6-1 Northwestern Wildcats. Northwestern will try to win this game on defense, while Ohio State is one of the best offensive teams in the country.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has thrown for 1,407 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, and he will be the best player on the field. Northwestern doesn’t have the weapons to keep up, and this game will get out of hand in a hurry.

Take the Ohio State Buckeyes -20.5 over the Northwestern Wildcats.

Pac-12: Oregon Ducks vs. USC Trojans (-3.0)

The Pac-12 Championship Game will feature the Oregon Ducks against the USC Trojans. Oregon was chosen to replace Washington as the Huskies are dealing with too many positive COVID-19 cases to play.

USC quarterback Kedon Slovis has thrown 15 touchdown passes through three games, and the offense has led the way for the Trojans. Oregon wants to run the football, and running back Travis Dye leads the team with 336 rushing yards.

The Ducks will give USC a tough challenge on Friday night, but the Trojans will find a way to pull away late and cover the three-point spread.

SEC: Alabama Crimson Tide (-17.0) vs. Florida Gators

The SEC Championship Game will feature the 10-0 Alabama Crimson Tide against the 8-2 Florida Gators. This matchup will also feature two of the top Heisman Trophy candidates in Mac Jones and Kyle Trask.

Trask has thrown for over 3,700 yards and 40 touchdowns this season, and the Gators’ offense can score in a hurry. The problem for Florida is on the defensive side of the ball, and that’s an issue against Alabama.

The Crimson Tide are loaded with offensive weapons, led by Jones. Running back Najee Harris has rushed for 1,084 yards and 22 touchdowns, and he will be a force in this game as well.

Florida has had a decent season, but that defense won’t be able to slow down the Crimson Tide. Bet Alabama -17.0 over Florida in the SEC Championship Game.
