In the National Football League on Sunday; two teams out of the NFC West will get together at the Edwards Jones Dome in St. Louis. The San Francisco 49ers will look to get back in the win column as they take on the St. Louis Rams. The San Francisco 49ers come into the game with a 2-5 record. The 49ers won in Week 6 over Baltimore, but then fell to Seattle in the Thursday Night Football game last week. San Francisco is under first year head coach Jim Tomsula.
For the Rams, they come into the game with a 3-3 record. Jeff Fisher’s team, coming off the bye, held the Cleveland Browns to just two field goals. The Rams are in second place in the NFC West, and are in search of their second straight win. St. Louis already has wins over Seattle and Arizona out of the NFC West.
Bet the Rams at Home For Easy Money
Believe the hype on Todd Gurley. He is healthy, and you better believe Jeff Fisher is going to give him the football. The San Francisco 49ers, while they haven’t been terrible on the defensive side are not ready for the Gurley show on the turf. Gurley is the youngest player to rush for over 130 yards in his first three games as a rookie.
Nick Foles at quarterback has not put together a tremendous season yet, throwing just 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, but has managed the game better lately. Two of the three Rams losses were close games against Pittsburgh and Green Bay. St. Louis played well at home, and that’s expected in this game as well. Taking the St. Louis Rams -8 over the San Francisco 49ers seems like easy money!
Defense Wins Championships; and Bets
The St. Louis Rams defense was great against Cleveland, and honestly, the 49ers offense is not much better than the Browns. Carlos Hyde can cause problems at times, but the Rams defense has seen better running backs. Colin Kapernick is a walking turnover, and that’s what you will get out of the Rams defense. St. Louis was a great daily fantasy sports play a week ago, with several turnovers, and a defensive touchdown.
Because the Rams offense is not a high powered machine, and the Rams defense is going to put the hurt down on San Francisco, taking the UNDER 39.5 is the best bet here. Even if the game is 24-13, you will still win this bet. This seems like the easy choice!
Future Bet is in Order
While we are talking St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers, let’s talk about the NFC West. Essentially, the St. Louis Rams are just a game behind the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have to take their bye, so that’s where the game comes from. The Rams have already beat the Cardinals and Seahawks, why not look at a future bet on the Rams winning the NFC West. You can get some great odds on it right now.
Many are still expecting the Seahawks to rise up and win it, but they already have four losses. Arizona just doesn’t seem consistent enough to win it. Jeff FIsher has what he wants, and that’s a great running back and an excellent defense. Look at the St. Louis Rams +175 to win the NFC West as a future bet.
