Andrew Luck comes into this week riding 7 straight 20+ fantasy point games. Now, the Colts get the Dolphins at home, a game that the Colts should be able to control at the line of scrimmage. The Colts are a team that was REALLY pass-heavy early in the season, but now they have been much more efficient. I think that the biggest thing with Luck is that if he is good, he’ll pass less. IF he’s not as good, they’ll pass more. Both situations allow him to have a really high floor this week.
The highest total on this slate is between Jameis Winston and Nick Mullens. I think those are 13 words I never thought I’d piece together. Jameis Winston is in a very strange situation. Just about every other week, the Buccaneers change QBs. This is obviously a massive risk. However, if he plays well, Jameis should see massive volume against a horrible defense. This makes Jameis a top GPP option on a slate that seems to struggle with the upside we have been used to this year. Nick Mullens is also a viable option in this game for a really cheap option. Mullens has proven to be a competent QB in the last 2 weeks and the Bucs’ defense has proven to be anything but competent. I expect the 49ers to keep up with Winston here, so I do like both QBs in GPPs.
Lamar Jackson scored 20 fantasy points last week without a touchdown. That is basically all I need to say. The Raiders’ defense is slow and horrible. The Ravens want nothing more than for this kid to gain some confidence, so I think this sets up really well to maybe see our first Lamar Jackson ceiling game.
Saquon, Melvin Gordon, McCaffrey, and James Conner are the 4 most reliable RBs on the slate that all provide different things. My 2 favorites this week are Saquon and CMC. Saquon simply destroyed this Eagles defense earlier in the year. Now, the Eagles are struggling and the Giants have won 2 straight. This sets up for Saquon to have another massive game. CMC is just so explosive that he is hard to get away from vs. an older defense that is traveling west to east for a 1 PM game. I think CMC has his longest TD of the year here.
There are not a ton of great, cheap RBs on this slate, but there are a few that truly stand out. Gus Edwards emerged as the running mate with Lamar Jackson. We don’t really know if this will continue, but IF it does, Edwards is a guy you want in your lineups. Doug Martin is not going to play this week and the Raiders should get killed here anyways. We all know there is nothing Derek Carr loves more than dump-offs to Jalen Richard, making him an interesting punt here.
Odell Beckham is the clear top receiver for me here. OBJ gets a horrible and banged up Eagles secondary. Beckham should be able to get anywhere he wants on the field. I think that the Eagles key in on Saquon more than OBJ in this game, allowing OBJ to go off here.
Keenan Allen is complaining about his target share and that has improved his target share. This is a nice situation to attack as Patrick Peterson will not travel into the slot to cover Allen for most of the game. This not only opens up Allen, but it shuts down one of the Williams receivers.
D.J. Moore comes into this game after a massive game with Devin Funchess looking to be out of the picture this week. Moore is so talented as a receiver that I am not afraid that he is going to get shut down as the WR1 by a pretty rough Seahawks defense.
