The NFL weekend got started with a trio of games on Thanksgiving Day. We are more focused on delivering three survivor picks this weekend in hopes of allowing you to survive another week in your survivor pools. Let’s take a look at the three teams we feel are a “lock” this weekend.
New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals
The first game we are going to take a look at is a matchup between the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are still looking for their first win of the season, and it appears that they have given up of late. Cincinnati is allowing more than 26 points per game this season while scoring just 14 points per game. The Bengals are auditioning some players for the future, and some of their veteran mainstays are no longer on the field.
The New York Jets are the right pick in this game, even though they have had their own struggles this season. Quarterback Sam Darnold continues to get better with each week, and he should have a big day against the Bengals secondary in this game. The Jets have won three straight games, and they will pick up their fourth of a row in this game.
Green Bay Packers at New York Giants
The Green Bay Packers are the pick in this matchup, simply because they are the much better team. Green Bay got embarrassed by the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football in Week 12, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers will get revenge in this game. Rodgers has thrown for close to 3,000 yards already this season, and he will pick apart a bad Giants defense. Green Bay has been playing better on defense this season, despite struggling on Sunday night.
New York has some talent on the offensive side of the ball, but rookie quarterback Daniel Jones continues to struggle with turnovers. Running back Saquon Barkley has just 461 yards this season, but teams are loading up to try and stop him. New York has also struggled on defense of late, and they are allowing 28.0 points per game this season. The Giants are an improved team this season, but they just don’t have enough talent to beat a determined Packers team in this game.
Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins have actually won two games this season, but you probably couldn’t tell by looking at their roster or stats. Miami is getting outscored by an average of 17 points per game this season, and it has been blown out a lot this season. The Dolphins are averaging just 63 rushing yards per game this season, and that has been a huge problem for this team.
The Philadelphia Eagles have had their own issues this season, and quarterback Carson Wentz needs to play better. Philadelphia is averaging just over 215 passing yards per game, and that won’t get it done against the league’s best teams. Fortunately for the Eagles, Miami isn’t even close to being a top team, and their defense should be able to dominate this game. The Philadelphia Eagles are big favorites in this game, and they will win it.
You might have your own idea of who should be your survivor pick this weekend, but these are the three teams that we feel simply “can’t lose.” Make your best decision and best of luck in your survivor pool. Enjoy the football all weekend long, and enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend with your friends and family.
