We have reached Week 9 of the 2020 NFL season, and playoff races are heating up in both conferences. Some trends have started to emerge, and it’s beginning to become easier to pick out the true Super Bowl contenders.
Odds continue to be updated each week, and that will be the case through the end of the regular season. Now would be a great time to get a future bet in and make a prediction on which team will win the upcoming Super Bowl.
Here are the updated Super Bowl betting odds, with teams broken down into four main categories.
Kansas City Chiefs +333
Pittsburgh Steelers +500
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +550
Through eight weeks of the NFL season, three teams have emerged as the clear favorites. The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions, and they are still the overwhelming favorite at this point of the season.
The Chiefs have just one loss this season and are poised to return to the Big Game again this year. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the only remaining unbeaten team in the NFL, and there aren’t many holes on that roster. Pittsburgh currently has the edge for the top overall seed in the AFC.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went through some early growing pains, but Tom Brady and the Bucs offense are now on a roll. Tampa Bay also features a dominant defense, and the Bucs are the frontrunner to win the NFC.

Seattle Seahawks +750
Baltimore Ravens +900
Green Bay Packers +1200
New Orleans Saints +1500
The next four teams on the list are all solid picks to make the playoffs this season, and all four teams will be tough to eliminate. The three favorites are in that category for a reason, but a number of these teams could slide into that group as well.
The Seattle Seahawks have just one loss on the season, and quarterback Russell Wilson is likely the league MVP. Baltimore has the reigning MVP in Lamar Jackson, and that defense is dominant.
Green Bay and New Orleans are both led by future Hall of Fame quarterbacks that have won a Super Bowl with their respective team. It would not be a surprise at all if one of these teams ended up winning the Super Bowl this season, though both have glaring defensive questions.
Buffalo Bills +2000
Tennessee Titans +2200
Los Angeles Rams +2400
Arizona Cardinals +2500
Indianapolis Colts +2500
If you are looking to make an underdog pick for the Super Bowl, these are the five teams to keep your eye on. The Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans look like real threats in the AFC, while the Arizona Cardinals are a surprise team in the NFC.
Tennessee advanced to the AFC Championship Game a season ago, and the Rams were in the Super Bowl just two years ago. One of these teams could easily get hot at the right time and go on a big run.
San Francisco 49ers +3000
Philadelphia Eagles +4500
Chicago Bears +5000
Las Vegas Raiders +6000
Miami Dolphins +6600
Cleveland Browns +7500
New England Patriots +8000
Everyone Else +12500 or Higher
The teams in this group are longshots to win the Super Bowl this season, even though a handful of them could be playoff teams. The San Francisco 49ers were in the Super Bowl a season ago, but that team has been hit extremely hard by injury.
Things could always change in the final nine weeks of the season, but these teams currently don’t pose a huge threat to the teams in the other categories.
