Betting the Big Friday Night NBA Doubleheader on ESPN

There are a pair of games in the National Basketball Association on Friday on ESPN. There is a full slate of games, but these are the top two games of the night. The Cleveland Cavaliers are at the Washington Wizards in the first game, while the Boston Celtics head out on the road to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Let’s take a look at a pick and preview for both games:

Cleveland Cavaliers at Washington Wizards

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in the NBA Finals three straight seasons, but they are off to an awful start in 2017. The Cavaliers have lost 5 of their first 8 games this season. Cleveland is 2-3 at home and 1-2 on the road. The Cavaliers are not playing very good defense, as they are allowing opponents to score more than 111 per game. LeBron James has started the season with 25.6 points per game, and 8.9 assists, but he cannot seem to find consistent help. Tristan Thompson was hurt in the Wednesday loss and will miss all of November.

For the Washington Wizards, they are one of the teams in the Eastern Conference that look to upend Cleveland in the Eastern Conference. John Wall is scoring 20 points per game, and dishing out just shy of 10 assists per game. The Wizards are 4-3 on the season. Washington just got back from a four game road trip with a home loss to the Phoenix Suns. The Wizards allowed Phoenix to score 122 points in the game. Look for Washington to get back on track and stomp on a hurting Cleveland team while they are down. Bet the Washington Wizards over the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night.

Boston Celtics at Oklahoma City Thunder

The second game features the Boston Celtics at the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Boston Celtics are starting to heat up with 6 straight wins, after losing their first two of the season. The Celtics are one of the top defensive teams in the league, allowing less than 94 points per game. Boston has seen their new point guard Kyrie Irving play more than 33 minutes per game, and score just shy of 22 per game. The point guard is also dishing out 6 assists per game.

For Oklahoma City – they are still playing with the Most Valuable Player of the league. Russell Westbrook was the winner last season, and has gotten off to another quick start this season. The point guard is scoring 20 points per game, and dishing out nearly 10 assists per game. Carmelo Antony is in his first season with the Thunder, and leads the team with 23 points per game. Look for a well balanced Thunder team to take down the Celtics at home. Bet the Thunder on Friday night.

There is a look at the great doubleheader in the NBA on Friday night. Our bets for this game is the Washington Wizards at home over the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Oklahoma City Thunder over the Boston Celtics. These are four of the best teams in the league, and many of the top players. Best of luck!
