Minnesota Vikings (pk)
The Minnesota Vikings are 4th in the NFC North with a 3-5 record and are looking like they’re going to miss the playoffs again this year. The Vikings started out the season strong with a big 34-6 win on the road in St Louis but they came back down to earth in week 2 getting smoked at home by the Patriots. They’ve picked up a couple wins since beating the Falcons at home in Minnesota and they also won last week on the road in Tampa Bay but they have struggled against teams that are either bit good. The Vikings actually have a pretty good defense allowing just 323 yards and 21-6 points per game but they have really struggled on offense without Adrian Peterson averaging just 312 yards and 17.4 points per game.
Minnesota Vikings Trends
Vikings are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. NFC.
Vikings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
Washington Redskins (pk)
The Washington Redskins are 4th in the NFC East with a 3-5 record and it’s looking like they’re going to miss the playoffs as well. The Redskins started out the season with just 1 win in their first 6 games and that came against the Jaguars but they seem to have found something the last 2 weeks picking up wins against Tennessee and last week they had a huge overtime win against the Cowboys in Dallas. The Redskins have a good offense averaging 391 yards and 21.4 points per game but they just give up too many points on defense allowing 25 per game. It looks like RG III will be back for Sundays game and will get the start even though McCoy probably deserves another start after his performance the last couple weeks.
Washington Redskins Trends
Redskins are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win.
Redskins are 15-33-3 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
I going with the Vikings as a pick’em in this one I think home field advantage wins this game. I also think Griffin will probably be a little rusty and add that to the fact that he isn’t very good in general anyway so I think the Vikings should win this game.
