This weekend, UFC 246 features the long-awaited return of Connor McGregor, and the DraftKings online sportsbook are boosting your odds on bets for him to win. Pick McGregor for a 5:1 Odds Boost!
McGregor (21–4) hasn’t won a fight since 2016, but he is still the big favorite (-335) against Donald Cerrone (36–13 (1)) this Saturday. Cerrone’s a crowd favorite but lost with KOs in his last two fights, both against elite fighters.
Besides the boost on bets for McGregor to win, also previously offered boosts on Holly Holm. Holm is favored (-137) in her matchup with Raquel Pennington, whereas Pettis is seen as an underdog (+195) to Carlos Diero Ferreira.
After his 2016 victory over Eddie Alvarez in late 2016, McGregor lost his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017, and then lost by submission to Khabib Nurmagomedov in the fall of 2018. Immediately after that match, a brawl broke out between McGregor and Nurmagomedov’s sides, leading to suspensions for both fighters and several others.
Since then, McGregor has found himself repeatedly on the wrong side of the law. He pleaded guilty to assault for sucker-punching an older man in a pub in Ireland, was arrested and charged with strong-arm robbery, and remains the subject of at least one sexual assault investigation, following another earlier last year.
Now he is claiming to have sobered up and dedicated himself back to his profession. He has set his sights, following Saturday’s bout, on two more fights in 2020, and claims that he will be a billionaire by 35. It remains to be seen how long he can keep his bad behavior in check.
In the meantime, he has a few things to prove this weekend. He recently said he expects to rake in $80 million from the fight — DraftKings wants to make sure you get a little piece of the action, too. Bet McGregor to beat Cerrone this Saturday for a 5:1 Odds Boost courtesy of DraftKings.
