The eyes of all mixed martial arts fans will be glued on the four major bouts that take place Saturday January 29th, 2011. At the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California MMA: Strikeforce will take place. The four major bouts feature Nick Diaz vs. Evangelista Santos; Ronaldo Souza vs. Robbie Lawler, Herschel Walker vs. Scott Carson and Roger Gracie vs. Trevor Prangley. This event will be aired live on Showtime.

Diaz is 23-7-1 as a professional fighter. Standing at 6’1, and weighing 170lbs he thrivers in Jiu-Jitsu and boxing. His opponents – Santos is 33 years old and married to Christine Santos, who is also a mixed martial arts fighter. Souza, also from Brazil has been fighting since he was 17 years old. His foe – Robbie “Lawless” Lawler is 2-2 since he signed a contract with Strikeforce. Lawler was born and raised in rural Illinois – just outside of St. Louis. The third fight features former professional football player Herschel Walker. After winning the 1982 Heisman Trophy award at Georgia, he went into the NFL and played for Vikings, Giants, Cowboys and Eagles. His opponent – Scott Carson is from nearby Stockton, California. The 40 year old is 4-1 in his 5 professional fights. The last fight on the main card features two fighters that are performing well as of late. Roger Gracie, a former submission grappler has won many championships before joining the MMA Strikeforce. Trevor Prangley is 38 years old and holds a 23-6 professional fighting record.

This should be an awesome card. The main fight between Diaz and Santos is the main fight, but the odds are heavily in favor of Diaz. Diaz is listed at -500, while Santos is getting +300 odds. We like Diaz, because he is a much better conditioned fighter. If this game goes extended time, look for Diaz to out last Santos. In the bout between Souza and Lawler, we are going to pick the underdog to win this fight. Souza is favored -260, while Lawler is getting +200. This is the only fight where we are going to put small money in the underdog. Take Lawler to beat Souza on Saturday. Herschel Walker has gotten off to a good start to his fight career – look for that to continue. Walker, will have a little more experience, but Carson will have younger legs. Walker is listed -350, while Carson is +275. We are taking Herschel Walker to win via TKO and win with his -350 odds. The final game on the Strikeforce card is Gracie -155 against Prangley +125. We are going to put big money on the underdog here. We love Trevor Prangley in this bout. Prangley will make pretty quick work of Gracie and win his backers some money. Take Trevor Prangley +125.

The preliminary fights include: Nate Moore vs. Nathan Coy, Bobby Stack vs. Isaiah Hill, Eric Lawson vs. Ron Keslar, Germaine de Randamie vs. Stephanie Webber, James Terry vs. Lucas Gamaza, Jenna Castillo vs. Charlene Gellnar, Anthony Dariano vs. Alan Perez, Ricky Jackson vs. Niko Jackson and Sam Bracamonte vs. Armin Safiari. The bouts feature a fight between two women, a male vs. female fight, and another gig between two fighters both with the last name Jackson.

We are very excited about all these fights. We look forward to the next round of mixed martial arts fights, and winning some big money!
